This indoor soccer thing is driving me nuts. The girls played to a 12-2 loss. two of the girls didn’t show for the game and we were 1 girl down to even field a full team. technically we fore fitted the game before we started.
I will say that my girls have really developed their ball handling skills as well as the strength of their foot when kicking. passing is something we’ll have to work on over the summer. AYSO starts in August and I’ve volunteered to be an assistant coach.

Hmmm… I can’t let this picture go with out some smarty comments..
- Indoor? There’s no roof on the place Eric, that makes it “out” doors.
- Actually we have some identical structures in Minnesota. We call them “outdoor” hockey rinks. We flood them in the winter and skate on them..
- Winter BTW is when we go “in”doors and play soccer in domes and such.
- In the spring, when the rinks melt, and winter hockey stops, we melt the indoor rinks and play soccer on them. But they have roofs so they aren’t “out” doors.
In the Summer, after spending 9 months indoors no one wants to be “in”doors for much of anything. THEN, we go outdoors and play on “fields”.

Alright Artie Smartipants.
-Technically they are outdoors. Indoor refers to the structure of play more so than the roof overhead. The nice thing about that is we can play indoor, outdoors in January. Give that a try in the land of 10,000 lakes.
This game never stops. The girls are completely spent at the end. its good conditioning. I tried playing once. I went 10 minutes then spent the next 3 days trying to recover.
We have a covered “indoor” pitch in La Mesa… it’s not a building but one of those large tent structures.
The Twins come to S.D. next week.

The Twins, I’m afraid to say… blow. We were supposed to have the leagues best bullpen before the season started… last week they totally imploded. We gave up thousands of hits to the White Sox.. uggg.
We also can’t seem to hit at the moment. Our Torii Hunter replacement, Delmon Young.. hasn’t done much of anything.
BTW- We can play out side in January. we just… uh don’t want to play soccer. Heck you can play hockey for free in Jan. try doing that in San Diego, your skates would be dull in minutes.
I have seen people playing golf in February. There’s a big golf tournament on lake Minnetonka. Not along the lake.. ON the lake. They drill some holes. make some fairways and people use tennis balls and drivers to play golf. I believe there is drinking involved as well.
