Weekend update – Where do I start? edition

The Chargers: were taken apart by the Vikings yesterday. Adrian Peterson ran for about a mile, while LT barely made it across mid field. One bright spot was LT first TD run put him is 4 place for most TD’s bay a running back. Really, I’m sick to my stomach over this. To Sank I offer my congratulations and some kind of atonement. The AFC West has a loosing record. It’s a sad thought that there is going to be one team going to the playoffs with a loosing record. Right now we sit atop the leader board tied with KC at 4-4 KC has the advantage due to the fact they beat us earlier in the season.

The Red Hots: on the upside, the Red Hots played 38 minutes of scoreless soccer on Saturday morning. In the 389 minute, the PT made a left footed chip shot into the corner of the net. 60 seconds later the game was over… score 1-0. The Red Hots improve to 7-1 on the season, and even though at this level, it’s not supposed to be c0omettitave, as a parent on the sidelines, I cant help but root, coach and shout them to victory. These are fun times, and a little girl that usually takes a back seat got a taste of the lime light.

What can a Penny Buy: Well if your 4, and all you want to do is throw it into the fountain, you’re in paradise. We went walking around UTC for the first time in a long time, and when we got to the fountains, I pulled out a few pennies and they were all over it. Blondie happened to bring her coin purse and she contributed to the frenzy.

Its back: although not as thick, Sears has brought back the wish book for the first time in years. I remember as a kid when that thing arrived in November, I’d bend over all the pages, make marks…even sleep with the book. Well things like that run in the family. We picked up the WB, and again the kids were in Heaven. Sharing it was one problem that we ran into fairly quickly, but the threat of loosing it for the night pulled everyone back into cooperation mode. On top of that one, the kids have already picked through the Target, Toy R us, American Girl, and the Sunday extra thick Wal-Mart ad. As busy as this time of year, it is a fun time to have kids. Everything to them is the greatest thing that they have, or ever will see.

The Re-Model: We’ve moved out of the bathroom, and into our bedroom, the Bathroom isn’t painted, yet, but we are going to scrape the popcorn off and then paint the whole shebang at once.

I’m running behind: I’ve got a ton of pics from Halloween, and the week before when we played country style. I haven’t had a lot of extra time to put things together for posting, just my usual short blurbs. For family and friends, I’ll try to get some pics posted in the next few days
