All’s Well

Winning, just barely: For the 3 time this season, the Padres won a game with 3 hits or less. I said it before, good pitching beats good hitting. And the same was true last nigh. SD was out hit 4-3by the Philly’s but won the game 1-0. In 9 starts at home, Chris Young has given up only 11 runs, and 6 of those came in one game.

WordPress.com: I’ve been working and tweaking this blog, and the ericmakesmusic on wordpress, and I’m getting a better feel for it. I haven’t figured out all the template widgets yet, but it’s coming along slowly. I’m mirroring this blog on the other publisher till I’m ready to cut Blogger loose. It may be a few weeks. I’m outta Shape: This morning we went to the park to goof around. We were running around and kicking the ball for distance. About 5 minutes into it, I was winded. I know I need to start slow, but I need to start somewhere. I’ve been walking a couple times a week, but I’m not getting any cardio….It’s just another think I need to work on.

Home Improvement: I got the ceiling stripped, and smoothed our. The whole house was covered with white powder for a few days. Today I picked up the texture. It is mixed right into the paint. It’s not the knockdown, but it looks to be a nice medium between it, and the popcorn acoustical stuff. After this project I’ve got 4 more low ceilings to do, and then the vaulted rooms. I’m taking the time to run some new lighting in the process, it should be nice After we take care of the termites, we will hit the outside. It hasn’t been painted since we moved in, on top of that, we want to get new flooring. It’s a good thin that we are independently wealthy….NOT!
